Srinagar, March 15 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that transparency in the recruitment process is the top priority of the government and there will be no compromise in it.

Talking to reporters in Jammu, Sinha said that the deferred examination will be conducted soon when JKSSB will be fully satisfied.

"Even an iota of doubt concerns us as transparency is our priority. Every recruitment process will be based on merit and there will be no compromise in it," he said.

Replying to a question, Sinha said till date around 47 employees have been dismissed from service for having militant links.

On being asked about J&K's Budget, he said the plan that they had made for holistic development has a good place in the budget and in next 5 years, Rs 5,013 crore will be added to Budget.

"Security is an essential aspect for J&K, even tourism, youth empowerment, and education are the sectors that we focus on. We are making a new start with Industrial investment. The budget is good for strengthening the base for new Jammu & Kashmir," he added. (KNS)
