Traffic police city holds interaction with transport unions of Valley

Srinagar, Dec 26 (KNS): In an endeavour to ensure smooth passage of vehicles and to ensure hassle free movement of people in Srinagar city, an interactive meeting was held with different transport unions from all district of the Valley in Srinagar in Sunday.

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), SSP traffic City, ASP traffic City as well as Dy SP of traffic city interacted with the representatives of taxi unions from all across the Kashmir valley. 

The statement reads that the representatives of different unions put forward their grievances, issues as well as concerns with regard to operation of the vehicles affiliated with them. 

“All of the issues and concerns raised were thoroughly deliberated up on and valuable suggestions were taken a note of.”

SSP Traffic city, Muzaffar Ahmad Shah addressed the participants and requested all of them to participate whole heartedly in ensuring smooth flow of traffic in Srinagar city.  

He further requested them that they should follow traffic rules in toto and to ensure that the drivers should behave responsibly. 

He also elaborated on the need to follow the directions of the high court in letter and spirit, which has been issued with an aim to ensure decongestion and better traffic management in the city. 

The participants were asked to help traffic police to decongest city routes, allow smooth movement of ambulances, emergency vehicles as well as normal commuters.

The participants appreciated the initiative of traffic city for decongestion of the roads and assured full support for ensuring smooth passage of vehicles in Srinagar. (KNS)
