Traffic Awareness Programme organised at Crescent Public School with Eco Friendly approach

Srinagar December 03 (KNS)  : In its effort to create awareness about traffic safety in wake of the immense increase in the number of accidents, Crescent Public School organised a Traffic Awareness camp today at its Sadrabal Campus.


It was a wonderful experience for the students of the Crescent School as they were attuned with the Traffic Rules. Sr Superintendent Police City Traffic, Srinagar Mr. Muzaffar Ahmad Shah,JKPS who was the Guest-in-chief on the occasion.Addressing to the young students, the Chief Guest explained about the need of awareness among the students and role they can play in reducing the number of accidents caused on roads. The program concentrated on the errors which the vehicle driver and pillion riders make highlighting the reasons to avoid risky driving especially non usage of seat belts and helmets. 
 
It was a highly interactive session during which the Students showed a high sense of awareness and also got the opportunity to learn many set of rules that are mandatory for driving including a question answer session by SSP. Moreover, the event witnesses an eco friendly approach by the school management who not only discouraged using plastic water bottles in the event, preferred using paper wraps instead of plastic ones for bouquets 

Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, Chairman Bilaliya Educational Institute, Dr. G N Qasba, former Commissioner SMC & G N Var President Private Schools Association were among the dignitaries present in the event. An IT Lab at the school campus was also inaugurated during the event. 

 
The Traffic city police is working fast to streamline the traffic movement near bottlenecks especially boulevard and Nishat etc where there is a major tourist foot fall. The school management thanked the Traffic City Police for the collaborate and special thanks to the beloved students for participating in the program and kudos to the staff of the excellent management.(KNS)
