Three LeT militants arrested in Sopore, arms & ammo recovered : Police

Sopore, Jun 30 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three militants along with arms and ammunition in Sopore town of North Kashmir's Baramulla district. 
 
An official told, that a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army’s 52 RR and CRPF 177 BN during a Naka arrested three militant of a banned militant organization Lashkar e Toiba at Takyabal Krankshivan  area of Sopore town. 
 
He said, that they recovered Incriminating material including two pistols along with magazines, 14 pistol rounds, 01 hand grenade and 01 Ak 47 rifle from their possession. 
 
Officials identified them as Tahir Nissar Sheikh son of Nissar Ahmed Sheikh of Bagh e Rehmat Sopore, Rahid Mushtaq Ganie son of Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie and Amir Shafqat Mir son of Mohammad Shafi Mir - both residents of Amargrah Sopore. 

Meanwhile, a case under relevant sections of law in this regard has been registered in Police Station Tarzoo and further investigation is going on, they added. 

Pertinent to mention, that Police on Wednesday held two Lashkar e Toiba militants from Chinar crossing in this North Kashmir township.(KNS)
