Three labourers buried under snow after avalanche hits near Kundi-Dowana, rescued

Karnah Jan 28 (KNS): Three labourers were on Friday rescued after being buried under snow avalanche that struck near Kundi Dowana area on Karnah-Kupwara road. 

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a team of Army and Beacon rescued three labourers after they were buried under snow avalanched near Kundi Dowana area. 

He said that the avalanched struck at around 2 pm today, burying three labourers including bulldozer driver working on the restoration of Karnah-Kupwara road. 

The official said that soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched and all three labourers were rescued alive and were shifted to a safer place. 

He said that one of the labourers complained of chest pain, following which he was shifted to military hospital for treatment, where his condition is stated to be stable. (KNS)
