Sopore, Apr 11 (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have arrested the three active militants of Lashkar e Toiba militant outfit along with arms and ammunition in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
 
Official told, that a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army’s 32 RR and 179 Bn CRPF during a cordon and search operation arrested three active militants of Lashkar e Toiba militant outfit in Wadoora Bala area of Police district Sopore. 
 
He said, that they recovered 03 Pistols, 03 Magazines, 22 rounds of Pistols, 01 Grenade besides a cash of Rs 79,800 from their possession.
 
They were in constant search of an opportunity to carry out strikes on security forces and civilians, police official said. 
 
The arrested militants according to officials were identified as Shabir Ahmed Wagay son of Nazir Ahmed Wagay resident of Warpora, Tufail Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Majeed Mir and Owais Ahmed Mir son of Ghulam Hassan Mir both the residents of Gund Mohalla, Barat Kalan Sopore
 
Meanwhile, a case FIR No. 16/2022 U/S 18, 23, 38 ULAP Act in this regard has been registered in Police Station Bomai and further investigation is going on, official added.
