Thousands of people participated in Chehlum (40th day) of Late Mian Bashir Ahmed Larvi at Baba Nagri

Kangan, Sep 24 (KNS): Thousands of people from across the Jammu and Kashmir on Friday participated in the Chehlum (40th day) of renowned religious personality Mian Bashir Ahmed Larvi and veteran Gujjar leader Late Mian Bashir Ahmed Larvi at Baba nagri Wangath in Kangan.

People from different walks of life across the Jammu and Kashmir including Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur, Reasi, Jammu, Shopian, Bandipora and Ganderbal districts thronged Baba Nagri Wangath to offer fateha for late Mian Bashir Ahmed Larvi. Special prayers (Dua Majlis) were held at their residence for the departed soul.

Sajada Nasheen Darbar Baba Ji Larvi Mian Altaf Ahmed who is also the younger son of renowned religious personality and prominent Gujjar leader Late Mian Bashir Ahmed Larvi expressed his gratitude to all those people from different walks of life who all these times since the passing away of Baba Ji visited Baba Nagri Wangath or called for condolences and to express solidarity with the bereaved family. Mian Altaf Ahmed also released a diary of Baba Ji named as 'Yaad e Raftgan' which he had written between 1950-60.

It was announced that every year on August 14 , Urs Shareef wil be observed at Baba Nagri Wangath. (KNS)
