Various law students join Apni Student Union

Srinagar, Nov 23 (KNS): Former MLA and Apni Party General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir on Tuesday said the students of J&K possess immense potential to bring laurels to the region but a conducive and opportunistic atmosphere for their welfare needs to be incorporated by the government.

Rafi Mir was speaking on the sidelines of a joining ceremony wherein numerous law students joined Apni Students Union besides apprising the leadership about numerous problems faced by the students across J&K.

Besides, State Secretary Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, District President Ganderbal Javid Mir, Provincial Youth President Khalid Rathore, Provincial Youth Coordinator Imtiyaz Rather, Provincial Youth Organisor Adil Bhat and Provincial President Apni Student Union Ibrahim Shah.  

The new entrants who joined the Party Student Wing included Junaid Ahmad, Muzamil Mir, Suood Bhat, Sardar Muzamil, Suhaib Mir and Umar Bhat.

In a statement issued here, Mir said Apni Party is committed for the welfare of the students in J&K besides raising their pressing concerns time and again with the government.

“Our Party is always concerned with the issues faced by the students and we have been vocal towards the resolution of their genuine demands. Also, the government must incorporate student centric policies wherein they face no inconvenience in getting admissions in the fields they aspire for,” he said.

Furthermore, Mir asserted that students enrolled in Central University at Ganderbal are still yearning to study in a proper campus which still awaits construction.

“I urge the Lt. Governor led administration to address the grievances of students admitted in Central University and direct the allied departments to initiate the long pending construction work at the campus so that students have to suffer no more,” he demanded. 

On this occasion, the new entrants thanked the party leadership for providing them with a viable political platform and vowed to raise the concerns of the students across J&K. (KNS)
