Budgam, July 11 (KNS): Residents of Ompora Housing Colony in Budgam are living in fear as the area has become overrun with stray dogs. Despite several complaints, the Municipal Committee Budgam has reportedly taken no concrete steps to control the situation.
Children and elderly people are most at risk, with many avoiding going out after dark. The presence of dog packs near schools, parks, and markets has raised serious safety and hygiene concerns.

Locals blame poor sanitation and waste management for the rising dog population. They have urged the district administration to begin a sterilization and relocation drive without delay.
So far, officials have not responded to the growing concern. Residents warn that without action, the situation could lead to a serious incident.(KNS)
