Says 'NC open to support government on normalcy restoration but killings must stop'

 Jammu, Jan 29 (KNS): National Conference Working President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during his participation in the debate on adjournment motion over civilian killings in Shopian asked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to stop playing politics over the dead and extended his party's support to the government on measures it intends to take for stopping the continuing cycle of violence and deaths in Kashmir.
According to the KNS correspondent, Omar told the Chief Minister "One hand the government has ordered magisterial probe to investigate the killing of two youth in Shopian district and on the other hand police has registered FIR against the army and army personnel named in the FIR also includes one major". He said "bullets have been fired on the chests of the youth and this is sufficient enough to indicates that forces have gone berserk and instead of controlling the situation they have targeted the youth".
Asking Chief Minister to sternly punish the guilty, the former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah extended his support to Chief Minister for all the measures her government intends to take for restoration of normalcy in restive parts of Kashmir valley but warning over the consequences of the continuing killing Omar said "cycle of killings must stop.
