State level executive meeting of MIDH held in Jammu

Jammu March 08:(KNS)  Meeting of State Level Executive Committee of Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) was held today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Navin Kumar Chaudhary, IAS Principal Secretary, Horticulture/Agriculture Production & Farmer’s Welfare Department at Civil Secretariat, Jammu.   

          The meeting was attended by Director General, Horticulture Kashmir, Director Research SKUAST-K, Director Floriculture Kashmir, Director Agriculture Kashmir through video conference from Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.   Besides, Director Horticulture Jammu, Director Agriculture Jammu, Director Floriculture Jammu and Representative of SKUAST-J attended the meeting at Civil Secretariat Jammu.
           Sh. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, JKAS Mission Director, MIDH, J&K (Member Secretary SLEC) presented detailed PowerPoint presentation detailing the implementation of MIDH Annual Action Plan 2021-22. The Chairman enjoined upon officers to ensure that all the earmarked funds are utilized in full well in time. 
 
            In the meeting, DPRs of the project based activities like establishment of CA Store Units and Food Processing Units of Private Entrepreneurs for assistance under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) were discussed. The Chairman after discussion approved three CA Storage projects for submission to Government of India for sanction. One Walnut Processing unit was also sanctioned for assistance under MIDH in the meeting.
 
           The proposed MIDH Annual Action plan for 2022-23 was discussed and Chairman issued instructions for laying emphasis on irrigation and High Density Plantation instead of normal Density.
 
           Chairman directed to earmark sufficient funds for Poly Green House, Anti-Hail Net and some other components, He directed Director General, Horticulture Kashmir to ensure that all formalities be done before submission of Annual Action Plan for 2022-23 to Government of India on 1st of April 2022.(KNS)
