Srinagar, Oct 29 (KNS): Residents of Lane 4, Iqbalabad in Srinagar’s Bemina area on Thursday expressed resentment over frequent unscheduled power cuts, saying the irregular electricity supply was causing inconvenience to households and affecting students preparing for examinations ahead of winter.
Residents said the area is fully metered and as per the scheduled curtailment, power cuts is to be limited to half an hour.
But they said frequent and prolonged outages have become routine despite the prescribed schedule.
“Electricity is cut off at allmost everyday and such cuts are very common here,” Syed Gayoor Iqbal, a local resident said that the situation has persisted despite repeated appeals to the concerned authorities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
