Srinagar police arrested Drug peddlers with 4 kgs of Charas

Srinagar, 11 July:(KNS) Srinagar police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers in Harwan area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar district and have recovered four kilograms of charas from their possession.

In a statement issues to media, the Police said that, acting on the directions of SSP Srinagar to step up efforts against the drug menace, Police station Harwan arrested two (02) peddlers and recovered around 4 kg of charas like substance.

The statement further states that's, today a police party of Police station Harwan, while on naka checking duty on Foreshore - Shalimar Link Road, apprehended two persons travelling in an Alto car bearing registration no. JK01P 6522. The persons were identified as
Mohd Ayoub Wani, son of Mohd Sultan Wani resident of Sumbal, and Mohd Altaf Parra, son of Wali Mohd Parra, residend of Sumbal.

On search, around four (04) kg of charas like substance were recovered from their possession.

In this connection, Case FIR No.58/20 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Harwan and investigation has been initiated.
