SR College conducts Workshop and organises Test Series

Jammu Feb 21:(KNS)  SR College , jammu & Kashmir's premier name in IAS and KAS coaching,   organised Workshop for  aspirants who are preparing for the  2021Civil Services examinations to be conducted by the UPSC and JK PSC here today in the college premises..               

The resource person from Delhi dealt with all the three stages of the exam and the issues like nature of the exam, structure ,stages and the strategy to prepare for the Preliminary test,Mains exam and finally for the Personality test.

Gautam Kumar ,an expert faculty in ethics,aptitude & integrity, international relations, internal security,governance and social justice elaborated a comprehensive strategy to prepare for all the four papers of General Studies in mains and also delved on preparing for the exams in a time bound manner. He also guided the students  about Civil Services Aptitude Test , Essay paper, answer writing and the  Public administration Optional.

Gautam laid stress on components of general studies to be taken up first,focus areas common to Prelims and Mains, time management ,answer writing and the importance of test series.
He also cautioned the students about  the effect of negative marking in the prelims and provided a well calculated approach on number of questions to be attempted .

The college has been providing guidance to the students since 2000 in the field of civil services and a number of students coached by the college have made  their entry into the final lists of prestigious IAS,IPS,IRS, IFS,KAS,KPS and many other national and state level services. The college has also started a  test series for Prelims 2021 containing 12 sectional and 8 full mock tests each of GS & CSAT and a comprehensive test series for Mains which includes 18 tests for General Studies and 6 tests for each Optional. The students are also being provided with answers and explanations of both preliminary and mains question papers.
