Tangmarg,18 May (KNS): Special Forest Division Tangmarg SPSP Range Beerwah seized a vehicle with illicit timber and one horse during night Nakas.

On the directions of DFO Tangmarg Showkat Ahmad, the Range officer SPSP Range Iftikar Ahmad Qadri Beerwah laid night Nakas at different places in the forest area of SPSP Range.

During Nakas, The Range officer with forest staff seized a Tata mobile vehicle with illicit timber(Deodar round) =21 cfts at Bamrada village and one Horse with illicit timber (Deodar round)=4 cfts at alammnagh khag. 

A case vide FIR No. 89/2021 under section 26 of the Indian forest Act and 379 IPC has been registered in the concerned police station in this regard.

Meanwhile, DFO Tangmarg appealed to the general public not to indulge in forest damage and Cooperate with the forest Department to protect and safeguard the forest property.(KNS)
