Holds, threadbare discussions with JKPCC President via video conferencing

Srinagar April 10 (KNS): The All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Sonia Gandhi today reviewed overall situation after Covid-19 out outbreak in J&K via Video Conferencing with J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President.
A statement issued to KNS reads, Madam Gandhi & PCC President also held threadbare discussions over various issues of public importance, besides the measures taken by the State Administration and Centre Govt in wake of the outbreak of the disease in J&K.
The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir while holding one to one meet with Congress President Sonia Gandhi via video conferencing apprised her about the overall situation in Jammu and Kashmir, besides  the spurt in Covid 19 impacted patients, besides the  difficulties confronting students and others, who are currently stuck in other states due to sudden lock down in the Country.
G.A.Mir apprised Madam Gandhi about the difficulties confronting students, businessmen etc, who are stuck in other states and were unable to return to J&K, requesting her to take up the matter with Centre Govt inorder to ensure them the required facilities and  their early return, besides  the return of people to Kashmir who are  currently in Jammu Division while having completed their quarantine period.
JKPCC President also apprised Madam Gandhi about the hardships confronting outside labourers in valley as well in Jammu and told her that required appropriate measures for their relief and return to their respective states have not been taken, so far by the State Administration and invited her attention towards their problems for their resolution.
G.A.Mir expressed serious concern over the pathetic condition of poor class of J&K and told Madam Gandhi that the BPL, AAY & PPH classes were in great difficulty, as that, the ration and other essential commodities have not reached them as was claimed by the State Administration, emphasizing her to take up the matter with the Centre inorder to ensure that these below poverty line people do not further suffer on account of essentials.
Congress President was also briefed about the steps taken by the J&K PCC, PYC, Mahila Congress, Frontal Organizations, Cells/ Deptts etc with regard to relief and rehabilitation of outside Labourers and others stuck in Jammu as well as in Kashmir due to lock down, besides the proactive role played by the Party Leaderships & District Congress Committees (DCCs) with regard to ensuring respite to Labourers and poor people on account of essentials, medicines, shelter etc.
PCC President also told Madam Gandhi that BDCs, Municipal Committees and Corporators of the Party are putting in their strenuous efforts from day one to sanitize their respective jurisdictions and beyond that aggressively inorder to ensure that the deadly virus do not impact the community, besides apprising her about the various relief measures taken by them in the interest of general public.
Madam Gandhi was also urged to impress upon the Centre Govt to upgrade the health infrastructure in J&K, besides intensifying the testing of suspects, on war footing basis, besides ensuring every required facilities to Doctors, Nurses and  other health workers, who are fighting against the deadly virus on frontline.(KNS)
