Slathia assails BJP for lowering political discourse, ditching Jammu

VIJAYPUR DECEMBER 04(KNS)- Former minister and senior National Conference leader Mr Surjeet Singh Slathia today assailed BJP for ditching Jammu people and lowering the political discourse by resorting to falsehood and lies against adversaries.

“BJP leaders have unleashed a malicious and vicious campaign against opponents, especially the National Conference leadership, which speaks of the level of their frustration because of growing public anger against them for non-performance and ignoring the Jammu interest in particular”, Mr Slathia said while addressing roadside public meetings in village Gho Brahmana, Gho Rakwala, Raika Labana, Swankha and Kothey pathania in Vijaypur Assembly Constituency in support of NC candidates in fray in the ongoing District Development Council elections.

Mr Slathia said that outright rejection by the people has unnerved the BJP and to carve out their lost space they are resorting to dirty politics, which is against the rich Jammu ethos. He said the discredited leaders stand isolated for their unhealthy acts during three years of BJP misrule. They stand exposed for their duplicity, deception and self-centric agenda, which took toll of the public interest. The said reactionary and exploitative politics is not going to bail them out for their betrayal and the people have decided to teach a lesson to them by the strength of their votes for pushing this region to wall. He saud politically sagacious people of Jammu will never approve of sub-standard and hate politics, as they are inheritors of the glorious legacy of togetherness, brotherhood and amity.

Mr Slathia exhorted the people to vote and support National Conferenxce, which stands for hollistic development of Jammu and Kashmir with opportunities of progress to all, irrespective of cast, creed, region or religion. He said history stands testimony to the contribution of National Conference in the upliftment of people and development of all the regions and sub regions of J&K.

Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent citizens of each village were present in the public meetings(KNS).
