Six militant associates of LeT arrested in Bandipora: Police

Bandipora, Aug 24(KNS): Bandipora police on Tuesday said it arrested Six militant associates of the Lashkar-e-Tobia militant outfit and recovered incriminating material from their possession in Pathkoot area of Bandipora district. 

In a statement issued to Kashmir News service (KNS), the police said that acting on a specific input about anti national activity in the general area of Bandipora, a Lashkar-e-Toiba module was busted by joint forces and six militant associates have been arrested. 

"Incriminating arms and ammunitions have been recovered from their possession which includes 02 live hand grenades, 02 Detonators,15 AK Series Rounds , 02 Matrix Sheets and other materials, " police said. 

"On preliminary enquiry, it was revealed that the accused were  associated with militant outfit LeT and were providing shelter, logistics and other material support to active  militant of LET in Bandipora district, " the police statement reads. 

The police  identified the arrested militant associates as Muzaffar Mohiuddin Lone, Mohammad Amin Lone, Rizwan Qadir Lone, Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, Javaid Ahmed Lone and Mohammad Saleem Khan. . 

"In this regard Case FIR  under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been taken up, " the police said.(KNS).
