Srinagar, June 22 (KNS): Chairpersons BDC Kupwara held an important meeting at Chowkibal Kupwara to discuss important issues & challenges faced by PRI members at gross root level.
The members discuss in detail the challenges of each block & lack of support from district administration Kupwara. It was witnessed that in absence of the consent of chairpersons district plan was approved.
According to statement issued to KNS reads, the projects taken by PMGSY were again repeated by R&B, while as ignoring important public importance projects needed to be taken up on priority & same is the case with other departments. If PRIs would have been consulted the efficient use of funds could have been implemented on ground level but unfortunately district administration Kupwara works as mafia & employees are working since years at same place. Which needs a major reshuffle in the staff at district level.

When Chairpersons being board members were not consulted in formation of capex budget, imagine what could be the behaviour of these officials with general public & other PRIS working on ground.

In the conclusion of meeting the members formed a joint strategy & pledge to fight with administrative barbarism with tooth & nail.
The immediate steps taken were to take up the meter with higher officials at UT level & as a mark of protest chairpersons will boycott every meeting of district administration till all issues are resolved.(KNS)
