Siblings die of cardiac arrest in Ganderbal village

Ganderbal, 24 Jan (KNS): In a shocking incident, a sister died of heart attack after hearing the news of death of his brother in  Shallabugh area of central Kashmir's Ganderbal on Sunday evening. 


According to officials,  a man from the Shallabugh fell unconscious at his home this evening and was rushed to SKIMS Soura for treatment. The doctors there declared him dead on arrival.

The official informed KNS that as soon as the body of deceased reached his home his sister also suffered a massive cardiac attack and died on the spot. 

The deceased siblings were identified as Abdul Samad Khanday (45) and  Raja Bano (65) wife of Ghulam Khanday of Shallabugh. 

Talking to KNS,  local Numbardar Farooq Ahmed said that 45 year old Abdul Samad Khanday son of  late Ghulam mohammad a resident of Shalbugh Ganderbal was suffering from heart disease. 


"Few days ago, he was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment, where the doctors told his family that there was a wound in his heart and doctors cannot operate him, however he died after few days due heart ailments."


 *when Abdul Samad's body was brought to his home for funeral suddenly his sister Raja Begum (65) a mother of two children, felt pain in the chest and was immediately shifted to the SKIMS Soura for treatment, where doctors declared her brought dead, " locals informed KNS.

Locals said that Abdul Samad Khanday left three children and a physically challenged brother behind him.

The sudden death of the duo left the area in grief and mourning. 

Meanwhile, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal in a tweet condoled the demise of two siblings.
 "Shocking News: Brother and sister die of Heart Attack in Shallabugh Ganderbal. My sympathies with the bereaved family. RIP," he tweeted.( KNS)
