Shifting of DRDO Budgam Hospital a historic injustice: Anjuman Sharie Shian

SRINAGAR 14 MAY (KNS): In a major blow to the health sector overall picture of Jammu and Kashmir especially the Budgam District the Jammu and Kashmir government decided to shift a 500-bedded hospital by @drdo to Khonmoh, Srinagar after keeping a site busy at district Budgam for over a decade now. 

As a matter of fact,  J&K Anjuman Sharie Shian stated that Budgam, being the nearest district to the summer capital, has faced immense development crisis, with the majority of its sectors remaining unexplored, a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS)reads.

Anjuman Sharie Shian has reaffirmed that Khonmoh is a catchment area for AIIMS, Awantipora. There is a need to rethink as far establishing health institutions are concerned. You have medical colleges in the south, north, tertiary care healthcare in Srinagar. Budgam deserves its share. 

Anjuman Sharie Shian expressed dismay that the Department of Health Services, Kashmir, has been directed to depute a full-fledged Medical Superintendent along with 60 doctors and other paramedical staff. Now preparations are ready, what made the government change its mind at the eleven hours, people in Budgam deserve an answer.

Anjuman Sharie Shian stated that the shifting of important health care facility from Budgam depicts the historic injustice Budgam has been facing.(KNS)
