Srinagar, July 09 (KNS) : Former Deputy Mayor SMC Sheikh Mohammad Imran on Saturday felicitated the people of J&K and entire Muslim community across the globe on the auspicious occasion of Eid-al-Adha.
In his Eid message, Imran urged the people to remember the poor and destitute by taking care of their needs which marks the very altruistic essence of this festival of inclusiveness.
"Eid is a day when smiles ought to be spread and joys to be shared with the less privileged sections of our society. This is a day when Muslims should thank Almighty Allah for innumerable blessings & imbibe the real message of sacrifice & selflessness in our daily lives," he said.

Furthermore, Imran also requested the general public to act responsibly while dumping the skins & remains of sacrificial animals in order to avoid inconvenience to the other people.
"Maintaining hygienic conditions on this special occasion is everyone's duty and thus I request the people to cooperate with the concerned SMC teams that have been dispatched to dispose off the sacrificial animal remnants. Let's celebrate this Eid with a pledge that we will positively contribute in keeping our Srinagar city clean and green. Heartiest Eid Mubarak to all," he said.(KNS)
