Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): Strongly condemning the disrespectful comments made by BJP women leader Nupur Sharma against our Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) youth president JKPC Sheikh Mohammad Imran has said that the honor, greatness and love for the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallam) is deeply entrenched in the heart of every Muslim and are the core of Islam. Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Aali Wasallam) and every Prophet of Allah is sinless. They are sent as guides for mankind and direct the people to the Oneness of Allah (SWT) and His obedience and any kind of disrespect not only hurts the sentiments of a particular community which will never be tolerated. Imran said that The Prophets of Allah (SWT) possess the highest level of knowledge of Allah (SWT). They also possess the highest level of spirituality and sound character. Every Prophet of Allah (SWT) condemned disrespect and violence. In Islam, we revere every Prophet of Allah (SWT) and we do not tolerate any disrespect to any of them.
He said that Nupur Sharma should restraint from any such derogatory comment which has hurt the sentiment of Muslims who have become a soft target now a days.
Imran said that the rights of others living as equal citizens must be considered and freedom of expression has nothing to do with defaming Allah (SWT) or His Messengers or the religious practices of societies. Such practice by Nupur Sharma is no longer under the sphere of freedom of expression, but is simply a campaign to malign the Muslims, he further added.
Imran said that India being a big and secular country had neither in the past encouraged such hateful ideology and BJP itself needs to take severe action against her. He said that every Muslim has a right to assert his/her love for the beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wa Aali Wasallam) whom Allah (SWT) sent as the final messenger to humanity, as mentioned in the Qur’an.(KNS)
