Srinagar, Feb 4:(KNS)   Peoples Conference Youth President Sheikh Mohammed Imran has expressed deep dismay over the continuous closure of Jamia Masjid.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), he said that Historic Jamia Masjid is considered as fountainhead of Islamic da’wah and preaching, continues to remain silent due to continuous closure of this mosque which had been a torchbearer for Muslims of Kashmir and its closure has caused deep hurt and unease among common masses.  

He said that Jamia Masjid has been consecutively been shut down by the authorities, and people were not allowed to offer obligatory prayers, thus violating their fundamental right to practice religion and causing them deep sorrow and anxiety among them.

Urging the authorities to shun the arrogant and oppressive method for forcible closure of Jamia Masjid and the continued house detention of Mirwaiz e Kashmir and allow people to offer the Friday prayers without any force and use these religious institutions for getting benevolence of Almighty Allah.(KNS)
