Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi pays glowing tributes to Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah on his 116th Birth anniversary

Srinagar, Dec 05 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference senior leader and former MLC Alhaj Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi on Sunday paid rich tributes to Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad on his 116th birth anniversary.

Pardesi said that the best tribute to him at this juncture would be to imbibe the same indomitable courage which he exhibited all his life while serving the people.

“He not only ushered in an era of development and social justice in the state post independence but also guided the people with emancipative, secular, and progressive ideologies,” he said adding, “he illumined the masses about the power of democracy and humanism."

Pardesi further said even Mahatma Gandhi saw a ray of hope in his efforts and prayed that Kashmir under him should become a beacon light to the benighted subcontinent.

“He was undeniably a brightest star of the state and of the country.  On his 116th birth anniversary, I pay my earnest tributes to him. May almighty elevate his stations in Jannat,” he said. (KNS)
