Witnesses told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the residents of villages Sheeri, Zogiyaar, Fatehgrah and Shalteng held a protest and raised slogans against Power Development Department for failing to provide regular power supply

Beopar Mandal president Sheeri, Sajad-ul-Bashir Bhat while talking to KNS said that they are suffering a lot due to power crisis in their areas. “For the past one month, the residents especially students are suffering due to irregular power supply,” he said.

The protestors said that PDD has failed to mitigate their suffering as no one from the department is making any efforts to restore the power supply as per schedule.

Meanwhile, SHO Sheeri, Naib tehsildar Sheeri and AEE PDD Baramulla reached to the spot and assured the protesting residents of restoring the power supply in their area as soon as possible.
