Directs officers for early revival, functioning of Theatre

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 15 (KNS): Secretary, Culture Department, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today visited the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) and Abhinav Theatre here and discussed in detail the issues concerning the revival of Abhinav Theatre.

Special Secretary, Trishla Kundal; Officer on Special Duty, Toufail Matto; Additional Secretary, JKAACL and other officers of the Culture Department accompanied the Secretary during the visit.

He showed serious concerns about the long-pending promotions and recruitments in JKAACL. He also interacted with the artists present there and listened to their feedback and concerns to get a holistic viewpoint of the issues.

While inspecting the Abhinav Theatre, the Secretary asked the concerned officers to expedite the process for renovation and functioning of the theatre.(KNS)
