Srinagar June 01:(KNS) The SDRF on Tuesday rescued the mother and her infant child after the boat capsized in Dal Lake. 

According to a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS) reads, today on 1st June 2021 at 4.15 pm. sudden gusty winds blew across the Dal Lake putting two boats in danger of getting capsized and people on them getting drowned. One boat was coming from Kol Mohalla and the other from Kand Mohalla towards Nehru Park. Vigilant SDRF QRT which was already on high alert spotted these two boats and found them struggling in the middle of dal lake .

The SDRF qrt immediately rushed to the spot on motorboats and rescued the distressed people with bravery and a high degree of professionalism. The people rescued included two ladies and an infant child .

The general public present there applauded the commendable job done by  SDRF Srinagar. DGP DDRF has announced a Commendation Certificate Class1 with suitable Cash reward for the Team SDRF.(KNS)
