Saroori seeks strict action against miscreants who manhandled MS Kishtwar

Kishtwar, June 16 (KNS): Former Minister J&K, G. M Saroori today strongly condemned manhandling of the Medical Superintendent (MS) in District Hospital, Kishtwar.
In a statement to KNS the former minister Saroori has demanded strict action against the miscreants who allegedly manhandled the Medical Superintendent for pointing out one of the employees without a mask. “As the covid scare has taken 60 lives in Jammu and Kashmir, it was mandated for everyone to obey rules and maintain social distances. Roaming without masks will make society unsafe for everyone,” he said.
If the MS District Hospital raised a question and asked someone to wear a face mask, Saroori said, he was performing his duty. Instead of obeying Government directives, he said, a person responded violently which is highly condemnable and it should be punished under rules to avoid its repetition in future.
Saroori expressed concern over some elements who are bent upon creating disturbance in working of the health department to fight covid19. “It is high time to take a call on such elements and book them, accordingly. These elements having backing from influential organisations have often created hurdles in the working of the health authorities and allegedly create division in the society,” said Saroori.
The Former Minister said that such elements should not be allowed to roam freely to create more damage to the Government effort to fight covid19. (KNS)
