Srinager, May 21 [KNS]: J&K People’s Conference President Sajad Gani Lone on Sunday paid rich tributes to Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq sahib on his 33rd death anniversary.
“Remembering Mirwaiz Mohammed Farooq sahib. Yet again a victim of violence. Mirwaiz Farooq sahib struggled all his life and stood with his people. As a religious figure, political figure he stood tall”, Lone said in a statement.
Lone said that Mirwaiz Mohammed Farooq Sahib was a true leader who dedicated his life to the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Mirwaiz Farooq Sahib's unwavering commitment to his people, both as a religious and political figure, was truly remarkable. Throughout his life, he tirelessly worked towards achieving peace, justice, and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The tragic violence that took Mirwaiz Farooq Sahib away from us once again reminds us of the enduring struggles faced by the people of Kashmir”, he added.
Lone further said that Mirwaiz Farooq Sahib's principled stance and unwavering struggle for the rights of the people will forever be etched in our memories.
“As we remember Mirwaiz Farooq Sahib, we are reminded of his significant contributions to the socio-political landscape of our region. His leadership within the Jammu and Kashmir played a pivotal role in amplifying the voices of the marginalized and advocating for their rights”, he added. [KNS]
