Srinagar, Jan 18 (KNS):In a surprising development, People's conference chairman Sajad Gani Lone along with Ex MLA Kupwara Bashir Ahmed Dar visited to Er Rashids home in Mawer Langate on Sunday evening. 

Former MLA Kupwara Bashir Ahmed Dar told KNS, Please don’t attribute political motives to everything. We have social relations. His father was associated with  Shaheed Lone Sahib and Er. Rashid has been my colleague in the assembly and in earlier days In the party as well. Sajad Sahib wanted to visit. But earlier he was in jail for one year and then COVID  came along. We sat with the family who are going through a very tough time. We hope and pray that their ordeal comes to an end”. 

When asked, why it took them too long to visit his home, he said, "our chairman Sajad Lone was also under detention, otherwise we would have visited the family long before."

Er Rashid is currently lodged in Tihar jail sinec August 05, in terror funding related case (KNS).
