Srinagar, Sep 04 (KNS): Safai Karam Chari of health department Budgam in central Kashmir on Friday held a peaceful protest demonstration against authorities and demanded their pending issues to be fulfilled within three days.
Talking to Kashmir News Service, protesting Safai Karam Chari said told they are working in the department since 1992 on meagre salary and no enhancement in salary was done in these years.
They said despite the issue was taken up with concern authorities several times but nothing was done so far.
President Safai Karam Chari Budgam Gulzar Ahmad Chopan told KNS they are working round the clock on the salary of Rs 100/ per month which is cruel joke to their services. He said in times of inflation it is impossible for us to survive with a little amount.
Protesting Safai Karam Chari appealed LG led administration to kindly look into the matte and sort out the demands at an earliest. They warned if genuine demands are not met by Monday they will hit the roads whose responsibility lies on the shoulders of authorities (KNS)
