Sadhotra condemns targeted killing in Pulwama; says such incidents create insecurity among minorities

JAMMU FEBRUARY 27- Former Minister and senior National Conference leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today expressed deep grief and anguish over the inhuman, barbaric and gruesome killing of Sanjay Kumar Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit, by the terrorists, sayings the perpetrators of the terror violence should be delivered exemplary punishment for the heinous crime they have committed against the humanity.


“Terrorism has no place in the civilised world and all those believing in civility condemn such acts unequivocally”, Mr Sadhotra said in a statement while conveying his condolences to thebereaved 
family.

Sadhotra said the unabated target killings has generated fear and insecurity among the minorities and urged the Lieutenant Governor's administration for ensuring safety of the employees working under the Prime Minister‘s Employment Package and quota for the reserved categories in the valley. 

He said the government must walk the talk by fulfilling its commitments and shouldering its responsibilities in instilling sense of security among the people. 

He also sought immediate release of the pending salaries of these categories of employees who have been protesting in support of their demands. These demands, he hoped, would be earnestly considered by the administration, keeping in view the obtaining situation in the valley.

Mr Sadhotra demanded immediate ex-gratia relief in favour of the next of the kin of the assassinated Sanjeev Kumar Sharma and job to his wife. He also urged the government to keep the provision for free education of the children of Mr Sanjay Kumar Sharma.

Mr Sadhotra prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear their irreparable loss.(KNS)
