Run For Kashmir, Army organise half Run Marathon in singhpora pattan

Pattan March 25:(KNS) In pursuit of Indian Army’s resolve to strike a chord with the local populace and to foster the spirit of sporting amongst the youth, Khanpeth Army camp of 29 Rashtriya Rifles organised a half marathon at Khanpeth. 

 
The Half marathon was flagged off by Mr Md Shafi, Sarpanch Harinara and saw enthusiastic participation of around 200 runners.
 
The half marathon consisted of a 21 km run culminating at Parihaspora. Shakeel Ah Dar of Chak kawoosa stood first while Md Ashraf Bokda of Sumbal Bala Kangan stood second and Sahil Ah Ghanai won the third prize.
 
Mr Sayed Faheem , SDM pattan, Inspector Nisar Ah, SHO Pattan, Inspector Md Shafi ,DO Mirgund, Mr. Md Shafi, Sarpanch Harinara, Mr. Gh Rasool Darr, Sarpanch Odina graced the event with their presence and felicitated the winners.
 
The fervour and spirit of the youth was overwhelming and it proved as a motivation to the community as a whole.
 
The event was another milestone in everlasting bond between Army and Awaam and will go a long way in fortifying the bond.(KNS)
