Srinagar, Dec 26 (KNS): Former MLA and Apni Party District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh on Sunday met with various delegations hailing from Mustafabad Colony near Fruit Mandi at Parimpora and listened to their grievences.

In a statement issued to KNS, Sheikh said that locals have complained against the dilapidated condition of inner roads which creates immense problems for the them to move with ease.

"In this winter season where snowfall is expected to happen soon, people in Mustafabad Colony fear that they have to remained locked inside their houses for days as the potholes in the road pose a threat for the pedestrians especially for old aged and children," he said.

On the issue of erection of Steel Tubular Poles, Sheikh said the area has been grappling with immense power cuts and the ramshackled condition of the wooden poles.

"While the government under schemes like DDUGJY is working assiduously to replace old wooden poles with STP's, this locality in Parimpora remains in constant fear over the decaying condition of wooden poles. Tragically, until this day no apposite steps have been taken to adress their pressing demands," he remarked.

Sheikh assured them of every possible help and promised them to raise their genuine demands with the concerned authorities for its immediate redressal. (KNS)
