Bandipora, Mar 8 (KNS) : Renowned contractor and well-known public figure Mushtaq Ahmad Tantrey, who also served as the District President of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Bandipora, has begun a series of public outreach visits across Bandipora district to interact with people and understand their concerns at the grassroots level.
As part of this initiative, Tantrey on Sunday visited Rashwari Quil Muqam in Bandipora, where he spent time with local residents and listened attentively to their genuine concerns, demands, and the challenges they continue to face in their daily lives.
During the interaction, locals highlighted the lack of basic facilities and the neglect that some areas of the district have been experiencing for years. Tantrey expressed concern over the situation, stating that several villages are still struggling for essential amenities despite repeated promises of development.
“It is painful to see that even today some areas of our district are still deprived of basic facilities and attention. Development should never be selective, and no village should feel ignored or left behind,” he said.
Tantrey also appreciated the warmth and hospitality extended by the people of Rashwari Quil Muqam, saying their simplicity, sincerity, and humility reflect the true spirit and dignity of the people of Bandipora.

“The love and respect shown by the people here is deeply touching. Their voices and concerns must not remain unheard,” he added.
While Mushtaq Ahmad Tantrey has not officially joined any political party at present, his recent visits to various areas of Bandipora are being seen as the beginning of a renewed public engagement and a step towards strengthening his connection with the people of the district.
He stressed the importance of collective efforts to ensure justice, equal development, and proper attention to every area of Bandipora.
Tantrey also assured the people that he will continue to visit different villages, listen to their problems, and highlight their genuine issues so that real development reaches every corner of the district.
