Red cross Donations at tourist Destinations, KEA demands to follow Procedure

Srinagar, July 28 (KNS): Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) has demanded relaxation in the collection of "Red Cross Donation '' from the drivers of tourist vehicles in tourist destinations.
 
As per the statement issued to Kashmir News Service KEA Chairman Mohammed Yousef Chapri said it is used for welfare and medical aid and in Jammu and Kashmir also this fund is used for the people affected by natural and other calamities, however, appropriate procedures should be used to collect the fund.
 
Chapri said tourist transporters complained that they were being asked for Donations at tourist destinations.
 
He said that the transport and tourism industry has also deteriorated during the last two years and the financial constraints of transport owners, drivers and conductors are obvious to all.
 
chairman of the alliance said that all the welfare and government agencies which collect Red Cross donations should also keep in view the evidence as to whether these drivers can donate as much money as is demanded from them.
 
"Everyone who raises funds for the Red Cross is commendable, because it is good to take the initiative to help those in need, who have a great reward with the ALLAH.
 
Meanwhile, Chapri emphasized on adhering to the Covid 19 Sop's rules and regulations and said that people should not risk their lives and the lives of others.(KNS)
