Sopore, Mar 12 :(KNS)    As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative of the Prime Minister, a rally cum cleanliness drive was organised on Saturday in Tarzoo village of North Kashmir's Sopore in Baramulla district. 

 

The main aim behind the drive was to give a strong message to sensitise public and bring behavioural change in them with regard to the sanitation and cleanliness.

 

The initiative was undertaken by the local army unit Uplona Rashtriya Riffles. The event was flagged off from Hygam village in which atleast 300 students beside BDC Chairperson, Sarpanchs and other civil dignitaries participated. 

 

The rally culminated at Public Health Center (PHC) Tarzoo covering atleast 5 kms circle distance. Where in BDC chairperson Dr. Fareeda Khan told the gathering about the relevance of keeping the environment neat and clean and asked the students, faculty and other staff to ensure proper hygiene at their respective place of working.(KNS)
