Srinagar, Aug 27 (KNS): A morning downpour in parts of sopore and adjoining areas on Thursday brought down the temperature and even as rain caused water logging in many regions. As seen in the past also little or heavy rainfall causes a massive waterlogging due to the improper drainage system in the town.
Though time and again it has been brought into the notice of R&B to look into the matter, but unfortunately to the deaf ears and people keep suffering day in and day out whenever there is rainfall.
We once again request authorities to look into the matter and solve the problem at the earliest so that water logging will not be a issue in the town.
The downpour got heavier as the day progressed, leading to waterlogging of roads in many areas of the city, including the commercial sopore iqbal market. Pedestrians were seen wading through the waters.
Meanwhile authorities have also sounded flood alert in apple town on Thursday (KNS)
