Rahul Gandhi’s security lapse allegations surface after rally failed to attract people in Kashmir: Tarun Chugh

Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNS): BJP National General Secretary and Incharge Kashmir Affairs, Tarun Chugh Saturday said that Rahul Gandhi’s security lapse allegations came to fore after his-led yatra failed to attract people in Kashmir.

Talking to KNS, the BJP leader Tarun Chugh said Rahul Gandhi is making excuse about security lapse in Kashmir because he has failed to attract people towards his Yatra in Kashmir Valley. He said that claims of security lapse are "mere propaganda" to decieve the nation.

"The Government has made adequate security arrangements for the Yatra. 1500 forces personnel have been deployed to make Yatra incident-free. 15 CRPF companies and 10 companiesof J&K Police are there. If people are not joining the Yatra, what is the fault of administration in it," Chugh questioned.

While criticizing the remarks of Rahul Gandhi on alleged security lapse, the BJP leader said "He (Rahul Gandhi) should have been thankful that he is able to walk in Kashmir by foot after abrogation of Article 370 & 35(A). The Congress leader should stop filmy drama and spreading hearsays," he said.

"With such baseless allegations you (Rahul Gandhi) are disrespecting those 1500 forces personnel who are guarding you," Chugh said and added, "You are the one who sought evidence of surgical strikes from country's armed forces".

Taking a dig at senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh, the BJP leader said "He is the serial offender of speaking against country and it's armed forces". (KNS)
