Qalamabad resident decry electricity, authorities unmoved

Handwara, April 17 (KNS): The residents of Shah Mohalla Qalamabad in north Kashmir’s Handwara town are up in arms against the power development Department sub division Handwara for failing to restore the electricity supply in the area.

As per the KNS correspondent ,The aggrieved residents said that four days back the electricity wire got damaged but since the the concerned department failed to repair the wire.

They said in this blessed month of Ramadaan we are not getting the electricity despite paying regular tariff bills.

They also said that they are continuously calling the concerned department but they are paying any attention to their pleas.

A local resident of the area said that the maximum electricity wires in the area are hanging on the tree branches which are posing threat to lives of people and their properties.

Meanwhile peoplr of the area have urged higher officials of the department to look into the matter and restore the electricity as the earliest so the the area did not face morew hardships.(KNS)
