Handwara August 21:(KNS) To create an awareness about the effects of global warming on the environment, Naugam Bde organised a Poster Making Competition for the students of Lawoosa village at the Govt Middle school, Lawoosa. 

A total of 30 students to incl 15 boys and 15 girls participated in the same with full enthusiasm and energy. Students brought out their creative skills to the fore in showcasing the effects of global warming through their posters and how it will be a challenge for the upcoming generations. 

The students and teachers also concerned their views and voice on the increasing deforestation, burning of fossil fuels, increasing carbon footprints in the environment which are primarily responsible for the global warming. Winners and first Runners up were given prizes in both the boys and girls category.

The students and teachers of the Lawoosa village thanked the Naugam Bde and Indian Army for conducting the event which helped in spreading the awareness about the global warming and promised to be part of the same in the future endeavours. (KNS)
