Srinagar October 18 (KNS): The 2nd edition of Positive Kashmir invitational Football Championship 2022 being played at Synthetic Turf Football Stadium Srinagar saw an opening clash between Lonestar Kashmir FC & Jehlum Football Club Srinagar.
The first half of the match ended a goalless draw and in the second half Sameer of Jehlum FC scored a solitary goal for his team. LoneStar could not make the equaliser despite making several attempts. Skipper Bilal Sofi of Jehlum FC was adjudged the Player of the match.
With this win Jehlum FC reached to the second round of the championship and the Lonestar had to face the early elimination.
As per the fixture issued by the organisers, J&K Bank Football Academy will take on Bandipora FC on 19th Oct Wednesday at 6:30pm.
The tournament is being organised by the Positive Kashmir (NGO) in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.(KNS)
