DGP, J&K Congratulates the awardees, their families, wishes them best in future

Srinagar 06 July (KNS): During the DGsP/IGsP conference held at Pune last December, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi had directed all the Police Chief of States/ Union Territories to felicitate the wards of Police personnel, who have excelled in sports at different levels.

Following the directions, the Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh sanctioned rupees 2.54 lakh in favour of 56 wards of Police personnel who have excelled in sports activities at national level, state and district level.

According to statement issued to KNS reads, Rupees 10,000 each have been sanctioned in favour of Faheen Mushtaq, Karan Gandotra, Simran, Arif Aijaz Dar, Udhyveer Singh, Rahil Sharma, Manpreet Singh and Sheikh Rumman Mohammad Inam. Rupees 8,000 each have been sanctioned in favour of Raghav Singh, Ankita Rani, Razak Ahmad, Meeran Ali, Vireshwar Bhardwaj, Sunidhi Gupta and Rupees 7000 have been sanctioned in favour of Mohd Irfan Khan.

Similarly rupees 6,000 each have been sanctioned in favour of Vikram Sharma, Tanishqua Pal Kour, Mohd Tariq, Mir Salman, Peerzada Shahid Ahmad Shah and Raghave Thakur. Rupees 5,000 each have been sanctioned in favour of Aarohi Saini, Yuraj Singh, Jugraj Singh, Sahil Sharma and rupees 3,000 each have been sanctioned in favour of Arya Chib, Yogesh Sharma, Vaibhavi Sharma, Rakshit Kohli, Yuraj Singh, Riya Rajput, Hujaifa Zahoor, Satyam Luthra, Praful Jasrotia and Faizan Gulzar.

Rupees 2,000 each have been sanctioned in favour of Anil Sharma, Ishique Pal Kour, Abhinav Anand, Rizwan Riyaz, Kaleem Bin Riyaz, Geetansh Smotra and rupees 1,000 each have been sanctioned in favour of Abid Rashid Thoker, Tabsum Aslam, Sakshi Chib, Vikas Sharma, Wakar Aijaz Dar, Gourav, Retika Devi, Ansh Gandotra, Mohd Farhan, Kifayat Yousuf, Ekta Sharma, Vansh Singh, Rajan Kumar, Irfan Ul Haq, Ashiq Zahoor, Ibrar Younis, Ishad Rashid Dar, Suhail Khursheed, Hirdayesh Sharma, Arun Jasrotia and Mohit Choudhary.

The amounts have been transferred to the concerned DDOs with the direction to organize felicitation ceremonies after the COVID-19 recedes / spread is stopped and government /social functions are allowed.

In his message the DGP Shri Dilbag Singh has congratulated all these wards of Police personnel for participating in different sports events and winning the medals. He said that our youth have abundance of potential in bringing name and fame for the country and Jammu & Kashmir. He further said that JK Police has launched a number of welfare/scholarship schemes for the wards of martyrs/serving & retired Police personnel and SPOs to channelize their talents and to boost their morale.
