PHDCCI J&K welcomes LG admin's decision for easing business establishment process in J&K 

Srinagar, Feb 15 (KNS): The chairman PHDCCI –Kashmir Baldev Singh Raina and chairman Jammu, Rahul Sahai welcomed the decision taken by the Administrative Council (AC) for relaxation of pre-requisite 'no objection certificates' (NoCs) or approvals for setting up of a business unit in Jammu and Kashmir.

"PHDCCI J&K has been demanding these kind of measures like pre-requisite 'no objection certificates' (NoCs) or approvals that  have been relaxed for setting up of a business unit," chairman PHDCCI-J&K Baldev Singh Raina said.

He said the Udyoug Aadhaar memorandum as per the condition of the Government of India that was requested by them also would be the only requirement for a business unit to be set up. 

Earlier, as many as 15 NoCs or clearances were required for a business unit to be established, that have now been reduced to a bare minimum. These bare minimum NoCs/approvals shall be required subsequently, for which two sets of single-window committees have been established - one for business units coming up within industrial estates and another committee for units outside the industrial estates,

He said that in order to create business friendly environment the chamber has been advocating since long for the implementation of all 372 points  of Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) by DIPP-GOI and the chamber welcomes the government’s approach in dealing with this and working for improving the ranking of J&K in ease of doing business.
 
He said the steps announced by the governments are critical and substantial to revive the business sector and boost investor confidence with a business-friendly environment in J&K.

Rahul Sahai added that the government has also shown that it’s determined to act with urgency and impact both to keep the environment conducive for investments and also to mitigate the economic hardship and demands of business community.

"PHDCCI-J&K also supports the government’s approach to start the various relief and reform measure with the bottom of the pyramid as they are the ones who need it most urgently both in urban and rural India,” he said.

Baldev Singh Raina said that the recent announcements and decisions by Hon`ble Lieutenant Governor gives them confidence that the UT Government, in the stage of its tenure, will surely make a resolute effort to get maximum key reforms that will open doors towards Progress, Harmony Development, Investment and Employment generation of Jammu & Kashmir.
