PHDCCI J&K organizes awareness webinar on Tika Utsav Importance of Covid Vaccination 

Srinagar 15 April (KNS):On the Occasion of the 'Teeka Utsav’ the clarion call given  by Hon`ble Prime Minister, the beginning of second big war against Corona Pandemic. The PHDCCI J&K on the culmination of Teeka Utsav” Vaccination Drive” held a Virtual Awareness session on importance of Covid Vaccination.

Pradeep Multani Sr Vice President, PHDCCI delivered the Presidential Address while giving his Presidential Address urged all the participants and industrialists to participate in the Tika Utsav by encouraging people at their workplace and also out of their premises to get vaccinated and follow the instructions related to Covid 19 as prescribed by doctors and Govt. He also stressed on the importance of Ayurvedic Medicines in order to boost the immunity which is the key factor in fight against pandemic. 

Rahul Sahai Chairman PHDCCI Jammu welcomed all the key note speakers Moderated the session , Sahai said COVID- 19 , the virus with a crown - has incredible speed at which it changes its strains. 2020 was a year which lockdowns the world over. Humans have endured worse fates throughout history and have a capacity to bounce back. This is not the first pandemic nor will it be the last. Our lack of preparedness in terms of COVID 19 vaccine made us dread the disease. sahai said Now in 2021 ,we are Blessed to have several vaccines to counter this virus . This virus in its second wave is becoming more virulent, so necessary precaution is to be taken in hygiene and social distancing. BUT our biggest responsibility comes to get ourselves inoculated with the available vaccines in India.

As a responsible citizens it is our foremost duty to ensure that we and our loved ones stay protected. This will happen only when even a layman will uninhibitedly get himself vaccinated, for this awareness tika divas is being celebrated. Mankind has defeated plague, Spanish flu etc . And so will be COVID-19 defeated, not individually but in a collective manner. Together we can, we will live freely again but the onus of responsibility lies on our shoulders to get ourselves vaccinated soon .

Shri Baldev Singh Raina Chairman, PHDCCI Kashmir in his address stated that we understand, a vaccine does not completely prevent you from getting infected, but it almost certainly prevents death or serious complication. Given the fact that about 85 per cent of the people who have died due to the virus are above the age of 45, we need to vaccinate this population first. Extrapolating the data in J&K, it would be fair to say that we are heading towards a situation where the cases are increasing day by and our state of economy is in a situation where we can’t afford another lockdown, so we need to vaccinate our population more vibrantly and we have to follow Covid protocol and SOP very strictly and we are with administration with full support to tackle this pandemic situation.

Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather Director Health Services Kashmir in his remarks appealed people for more and more vaccination, hailed role of social media in awareness said all the organisations should organise such webinars 

Dr Shahid Hussain  Extended Program Immunization Officer (EPIO)  Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization, J&K in his address gave data of vaccination done in the J&K also said he is satisfied by the number of vaccination done in UT , he also appealed various religious heads to come forward make people understand the benefits of vaccination 

Dr. Shashi Sudhan Sharma Principal & Dean Government Medical College Jammuwhile in his address said COVID appropriate behaviour and vaccination are the only  two big Weapons against the resurging COVID 19 PANDEMIC .All eligibles are requested to get Vaccinated at an earliest and no vaccine should be wasted . Dr Rahul Gupta Prof. & Head Department of Pulmonary Medicine Government Medical College Jammu advised people to stop taking the disease lightly it can happen again to a person , report it when you find symptoms , regular monitoring and treatment is the only key forward , three T’s are very important Test, track , treat , controlling covid is a social responsibility 

Dr Mir Faisal Leading Pulmonologist from Kashmir talked about more and more public awareness sessions, hailed role of PHDCCI in awareness, advised other organisations to come forward in awareness, he stressed on clearing doubts of people regarding vaccination then only people will come forward. Dr Faisal explained how this vaccination is essential like other vaccines and he  emphasizes that now we are entering in phase of vaccination in war against this pandemic.  

Pradip Gandotra, Chairman Civil Society Jammu  hailed efforts of PHDCCI in matters related to Civil Society and stressed on more and more awareness sessions regarding covid vaccination  , extended full support in future endeavours too , appealed citizens to come forward for vaccination 

Dr  Ankur Gupta Director ModeI Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jammusaid vaccines for younger generation should also come at the earliest as young students are at more risk now with the new strain , Appealed students to follow sop’s , take Covid seriously .

Lalit Mahajan Chairman Federation of Industries shared industry perspective appealed Financial Commissioner health and administration  for testing of Drivers coming from out of state , vaccination centre at ESI hospital at bari brahmna industrial estate for labourers 

Sanjay Aggarwal Co Chair PHDCCI Jammu thanked all the participants  for sparing their valuable time for the most important topic and stressed on more and more awareness on social media , he said massage of dignitaries should be viral so that people can understand importance of vaccination
