PHDCCI hails Srinagar court’s decision to vacate interim order

Srinagar, Jan 02 (KNS): PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir has hailed the decision of Srinagar court to vacate interim order in favour of a petitioner for claiming to be an executive member of the apex trade body.

In a statement, PHDCCI said the court has vacated the interim order in litigation by one GN War from Kupwara.

As per the statement, the court had observed that it was of the opinion that the plaintiff has failed to satisfy it and has not got a prima facie case in his favour.

PHDCCI Kashmir chapter chairman Vicky Shaw said that business and trade community and other people of Kashmir were misled by some unscrupulous people having no connection with PHDCCI.

“Now It has been proved in the court of law that the act of denigration made by the plaintiff was without any substance or documentary evidence and it is evident that the person backed by some people with vested interests appear to have orchestrated such a misleading story to defame the respected voices of business of Kashmir.”

He added the stance of PHDCCI stands vindicated by virtue of the court order, dismissing the petition of the plaintiff.

“PHDCCI is a committed organisation dedicated to develop business and economic development in J&K by means of promoting businesses.”

He said PHDCCI will not be hindered by frivolous obstacles created by unscrupulous elements to  interfere or dictate terms to the chamber outside the ambit of its constitution.

“It is unfortunate that a national apex chamber is being dragged in baseless legal suits full of personal interest to mislead and create confusion among budding business community of Kashmir,” he said.

He also praised lawyers Mushtaq Ahmad Makhdoomi and Shahid Makhdoomi for successfully representing the PHDCCI in this civil suit. (KNS)
