Petrol, diesel cut by ₹12 and ₹17 in J&K after UT admin announces additional reduction of ₹7

Srinagar, Nov 04 (KNS): Day after the central government announced reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 respectively, the authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have decided to reduce additional Rs 7 on petrol and diesel in the Union Territory.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, office of the Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor said that the J&K has decided to reduce additional Rs 7 on petrol and diesel.

After reduction of additional Rs 7 on both the fuels, the price of petrol and diesel per litre will be Rs 12 and Rs 17 respectively in Jammu and Kashmir.

Notably, on Wednesday evening, the central government announced reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 respectively on the occasion of Diwali. (KNS)
