Srinagar, Sept 11 (KNS): As the electoral process gains momentum in the Kashmir several prominent political leaders have filed their nomination papers for the upcoming elections in Handwara and Langate constituencies.
In Langate, J&K People's Conference candidate Irfan Sultan Panditpuri, Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) candidate Sheikh Khurshid, and J&K Apni Party candidate Munawar Khawaja submitted their nomination papers on Wednesday at the office of the Returning Officer (RO) in the presence of the election officials.
The filing process attracted considerable attention, marking the beginning of what is expected to be a closely watched contest.

Additionally, PDP candidate Azad Parwaz also completed the nomination process for the Langate constituency, signaling the party's intent to engage in the upcoming political battle.
Adding to the competition, AIP's Majid Banday has also filed nomination papers, further intensifying the political atmosphere in the region.
The presence of multiple candidates from various political parties, including the J&K People's Conference, AIP, J&K Apni Party, and PDP, is expected to result in a fierce contest in both Handwara and Langate.
Voters in these constituencies are gearing up for a dynamic election, with each party hopeful of securing a strong mandate. (KNS)
