Chandigarh, April 29:(KNS) BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today made an appeal to the people of Punjab to maintain communal peace and amity and asked the AAP government to keep law and order situation under control.
Expressing serious concern at the violent clash in Patiala today, Chugh said it reflected complete collapse of law and order machinery in the state for which chief minister Bhagwant Mann was squarely responsible.
Chugh questioned the state Government's propriety in allowing the crowd to assemble at the temple site where the violent clash took place.
He said Punjab being a border state needed very tight control on law and order. There have been a series of law and order problems since AAP came into power which were overlooked and ignored.

Chugh also lambasted the AAP government in Punjab for its lack of vision and administrative competence to handle the power situation in the state.
Chugh said as the AAP government made no preparations to address the problem of power shortage it has been imposing heavy power cuts all across the state.

Chugh ridiculed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his hurry to declare 300 units free power supply in the state before making adequate arrangements to ensure regular and interrupted power supply in the state.
He said Punjab was facing an acute power crisis because the chief minister has been more focused on Arvind Kejriwal and his plans than on the problems of the state. "Is he expecting Kejriwal to give him a solution for the power crisis in Punjab ? Is it not part of the sharing of knowledge MOU signed between Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann ?", he asked.
In view of the coming paddy sowing farmers need regular power supply as much as people in the cities would need due to intense heat wave. Chugh said the AAP government should stop making announcements as it has failed to deliver on the first step itself after coming to power.
Chugh said the AAP government has been more worried about MOUs without focusing on problems on the ground. (KNS)
